The Prophet has Spoken

I would first like to mention that yes it is still hot......as Ham says in "The Sandlot" and as i say in my head just about every day "It's so hot!....I'm baking like a fried cheeser, Smalls!"

Well that's the weather update here in Monterrey, lets check in with bob at the sports desk........uhhhh....yea

So i have received my new compa. and all i have to say is i'm living with straight edge Stan. if its not in the "white bible" we cant do it. and the things that are in the "white bible" we have to do it to the T or will will be condemned. its a little annoying, but i have learned many things and my prayers have been answered from General Conference this past weekend. patience will be practice in these next 6 weeks.

speaking of conference...it was amazing and i am really sad that it is over, it seemed to fly by. well in 6 more months we have the chance to listen to the words of the prophet, apostles and other general authorities. I have found that as i grow older and come to understand the gospel of Jesus Christ my priorities have changed, my entire perspective on life has changed. and have experienced all of this thanks to the great redeemer, healing and changing power of the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that this email goes out to some friends and family that are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint religion and some don't understand why i am here in Mexico, serving a mission.

Truth is, for a few years in my adolescent years i was inactive in the church, i didn't like going to church or other activities. I did somethings that i regret and have brought myself, close friends and family grief and pain. Then i was told i should go on a mission but still, i was rebellious and chose to stay away from the church. Then i reached a point where i didn't know who i was, where i ran out of options and where i needed help, a help that no ordinary person could lend but an eternal and healing help to help me recover from a world of help. This is when i started to look toward the Lord, Jesus Christ and his infinite healing power. Only through him can we receive a true forgiveness for all the errors we've have committed. I am here in Mexico to share this magnificent power and love with others. That as we place our lives, in faith, in the hands of the lord, he will help us grow strong and show us true happiness. Sure, there are things is this world that can brings us joy and happiness, but what happens to all these worldly things after death? they stay here! what things are we going to be able to bring in the next life? our families (if we are sealed in the Temples of the Lord) and the knowledge that we will be in the presence of God and Jesus Christ, enjoying their joys, their happiness and their love. ONLY through him and his church, this is possible. "And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end." 2 Nephi 31:21 And we as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have this truth and knowledge from a living day prophet called of God to lead and guide his church, is these last days. I know that these things are true. why? because i have tried and tested them in my life and you can do the same. Pray to God, the only being that knows it all from the beginning to the end of what i have shared and what i believe is true.
