To all my blog followers (which at this point is only my mother),
Today was quite eventful.
1) ATVs
I awoke this morning to yells and loud motors, what else could this be in the middle of winter in Branson, MO. You guessed it ATVs and Dunebuggies. James and his children along with Big Al were outside driving the ATVs and Dunbuggy. I was so confused on why none of the neighbors were complaing about the noise so early in the morning but then I realized that it was about 11am when I woke up. I'm on "vacation" so I don't want to hear it.
Just to let you all know my cousins (Kayli, Devin and Ethan) don't get exposed to alot of new and exciting things, so when they got to drive the little ATV by theirselves, it was very amusing to watch them fight over who went the fastest, who rode better, who could drive better. The truth is that like a car the ATV will accelerate very slowly if you let of the gas. And to James' kids this was fast and....this is how fast they went. They never touched the throttle until.....Big Cousin Kye jumped on and whipped around the block beating Daddy (my uncle) on the big ATV. So like the little competive devil in all of us, Kayli and Devin wanted to go just as fast as me.....well they both tried and failed misrable only to go back to driving without using the throttle. Then James and I thought we would have some "Big Kid" fun and I would get pulled on my skateboard behind James on the ATV. It was tons of fun and FYI no one got hurt or died while performing the stunt.
2) The City
A couple of weeks ago the Lowe's performed and then ran the "Run to the Lights" 5k Race at Silver Dollar City, and because of that they recieved tickets to The City. When is a better time to go to the city? On a misrable cold dank night under the overcast clouds of Branson. It was too cold for any of the rides to be open so we had to entertain ourselves, which consisted of random dance sessions in the middle of crowds, singing christmas carols out of tune, making fun of people at the park and just being as loud and as obnoxious as we possibly could. We ended up walking around until we were numb and then we hit up Big Al and Josephine for some Hocho and Wassil. Then we got hungry so...
3)Dinner and a Movie
After a very numbing experience at The City, we all went back to Natalie's and the Iron Chef (Me) and Chef-in-Training (Kayliann) whipped up a deliscious spring salad with pears and poppyseed vinergrette and a lemonpepper chicken alfredo. Very tasty and all our tummies were very very full. We ate while we watched Julie & Julia. What a perfect movie to watch while we eat a very yummy meal and what a very pleasant way to end frigid evening and one of my last days in Branson.
4) End of a Photoshoot
Finally, an end to this post and to a glorious photoshoot. Back in October I asked my friend Kiely (a professional wedding photographer), if she would take some photos for me so I could have some updated pictures for my music. I was looking for some photos I could use to make into posters or album covers, and Kiely still wasn't really sure what I was looking for. Kiely hesitantly but gladely accepted the challenge. I heard that the pictures turned out very well but I haven't been able to see them. FINALLY, I have finally seen them after patiently and anxoiusly watching her blog (NOSTALGIA). I must say they turned out amazing and I can not thank Kiely enough. I was an awesome day back in October, running all over Rolla taking pictures, laughing and learning. Pictures will be posted when I pick them up on Thursday on my way back home to Chicago. Sorry for getting you all exicted, if you can not wait you can check them out on her blog posted above. This was an excellent suprise to a wonderful night.
Its late, I'm tired, my eyes hurt from staring at my computer screen. Until next post...keep it real.
