Ok so sing/think to yourself the "Charlie Brown Christmas" Song. Why? You might ask...well we spent Año Neuvo.....alone. When we went to church yesterday, everyone asked us who we spent the night with and when we told them no one they were surprised, all answering "We assumed that someone else invited you" but its ok we had a pleasant night. we played soccer with a tennis ball and our next door neighbors brought us some food. beans, tamales and 'pastel de carne' which directly translate to Meat Cake or ...Meat Loaf...es igual!
the only problem was, in the US most parties stop or start to dwindle at like 12 or 1 in the morning. here that's when they start. needless to say we didn't get a ton of sleep that night. when we went for our morning run there were still people parting and listening to music and drinking......at 6:30 IN THE MORNING! talk about PAR-TAY!

so really not a ton happened this week, it was really hard to teach because of the holidays. but we did have a baptism this week. His name is Raul and he is a friend of a member, he's been going to church for about 2 months but hasn't been taught the lessons. so it was fairly easy on our part. He's 22 and a very cool guy. he's super swole but he's super super quite and nice.
so sorry that this letter isn't the longest but......i hope that PICTURES will compensate for the loss of words.
