Yesterday at 11:46 am Central Time, I received a little note in the mail. The words on the note go as followed:
"You are assigned to labor in the Mexico Monterrey East Mission."
WHAT?!?!?! I am so excited. Its been a long, long, long, (did I mention LONG) wait considering I turned my papers in the Thursday before Easter. It was quite the hassle opening it because my call went to Chicago and I'm in Branson visiting for the week. So it was pretty amusing hear my Mom and her friend, Reyna, trying to skype/fax/scan it to me without looking. But nonetheless its here now and I couldn't be happier. I report to the MTC on September 22nd, which is also a long, long time and since I just recently got laid off I planned on going with my family and working at Camp Kern in the High Sierra on Huntington Lake. I will be working as the Sailboat Director. Apparently, Huntington Lake is 2nd and the Nation for the best sailing so I'm pretty excited.
Congrats buddy! I am so pumped for you. You will be an amazing missionary! Working at Kern will be really fun too. Claire and Josie are going?
